ABOUT ROXANNE
The conversations that matter aren't always comfortable.
I believe meaningful therapy requires honesty, curiosity, humor, and a willingness to have conversations that aren't always easy. I'm not someone who will simply nod along and tell you what you want to hear. I'll listen, ask questions, offer different perspectives, and challenge you when I believe there's something worth exploring.
My approach is collaborative. I'm interested in understanding your experiences, the patterns that show up in your life, and how you've come to see yourself and the people around you. Sometimes that means sitting with difficult emotions. Other times, it means questioning beliefs you've held for years. Both can lead to a deeper understanding of yourself.

The Experience I Bring
My career has taken me through residential treatment programs, schools, shelters, hospitals, and outpatient settings. I've worked with children, adolescents, adults, and families from all walks of life. And if there's one thing I've learned, it's that people carry a lot more than we often realize.
I've seen how childhood experiences follow us into adulthood, how families and relationships shape us, and how differently life can unfold depending on the resources and support available to us. Not everyone starts from the same place, and not everyone has access to the same opportunities or choices.
Every setting taught me something, and plenty of those lessons challenged what I thought I knew. I've had to question my own perspectives, adapt, and grow right alongside the work I was doing. Looking back, each experience was a stepping stone, both personally and professionally.

Outside the Office
I was born and raised in Houston in a bilingual home shaped by the experiences of my immigrant parents. Growing up with different traditions and perspectives influenced how I understand family, culture, and the world around me.
I've called San Antonio home for more than 20 years. It's where I've built my career and started my own family. These days, life with my husband and our two children keeps things busy, unpredictable, and often pretty entertaining.
When we're not caught up in the usual routines, I enjoy working on DIY projects, hiking, bird-watching, and fishing at local parks with my family.
